For times when you want to carry just the car seat, the wheels can be left in the base, helping reduce the weight of the infant carrier.

The rear-facing infant car seat accommodates babies from 3–30 lb and 15.7–32 inches tall, making it suitable from birth through the early toddler years, depending on your child's fit.
