This dresser is definitely not the same quality as the crib we have. It's a bit strange, as our crib is the StorkCraft Portofino 4 in 1 crib with change table attached. You'd think the quality would be the same. However, for the price, it is a good buy. Your only other choices would be Ikea furniture which is much cheaper both in price and quality I think, or going for something more solid wood, which fetches at least $500 (and that'-
s for the as-is stuff). I wasn'-
t willing to spend that much as children throw stuff, they poo, they barf, and I remember sticking stickers all over my dressers. So to spend $500+ on a piece of furniture was just ridiculous to me. Granted, there were a few pieces of the dresser which already had a chip, or a small scratch, but nothing to be too concerned about. Remember, it won't stay new forever. The drawers pull in and out smoothly, and the cabinet door feels pretty sturdy.
It only took my husband about 2-2.5 hours to assemble. People will say that the instructio-
ns are confusing, but seriously, all you need is common sense.
I think the dresser is well worth the price for the quality you get, just don't expect the same quality as the StorkCraft cribs.

We just finished putting this dresser together after receiving it for a baby shower gift for our first baby. First off, it's really heavy - I would recommend getting it shipped to your house (the box weighs around 50lbs). It was not easy to assemble for the average person. It took my husband about 4 hrs to do - there are ALOT of pieces and some of the holes that were screwed in the pieces, were not centered, so he had to re-drill the holes to make the pieces fit. I would say about 25% of the dresser is actual wood, the rest is particle board. I give it an average rating as it looks really nice once it's set up and has good safety features, but for the price, we expected it to be easier to assemble and have more real wood pieces to it.
