TJ's Buy Back Policy:

Over Twenty years ago,

TJ's the Kiddies Store Ltd started as a small shop, buying and selling second-hand children's and baby products.

Since then, society has become very conscious of recycling and conserving. TJ's has always been a leader in recognizing the value of using an item throughout its full life and potential. Thus, the "Buy Back" service that TJ's offers all of our valued customers, was created.

First a Word of Explanation:

It would seem obvious that to be a growing business for more than 25 years, TJ's is doing something right. We all know that the bottom line in every business is to stay in business and to make a profit, so as to increase growth.

With that in mind, it should be understood that in many cases you might be able to reap a better return selling your used items privately. However, you may not want the bother of having strangers coming to your home to view your products, nor may you have the time.

TJ's buys items and resells them at an increase. This of course reflects directly in the amount paid to you.

How does the "Buy Back" service work?

The customer buys an item from any TJ's store.

The customer retains their receipt so that they can have it for reference when they want to resell their item back to TJ's.

When the customer is finished using the item, it can be brought back to any TJ's store and we will consider buying it back from you, subject to the following conditions:

"Buy Back" Terms and Conditions

TJ's will only buy back items that are safety approved by the Canadian Government Standards.
TJ's will only buy back items that are resalable.
If an item that you are selling back to TJ's is in need of repair, or is missing parts, TJ's may not buy the item from you. If TJ's decides to buy this item, there will be deducted from the maximum amount of money that TJ's would give, the cost of parts, missing pieces, and/or repairs.
TJ's will deduct an appropriate amount for cleaning and reconditioning if an item is to be bought in a condition not immediately resalable.
TJ's will pay up to a maximum of 40%* with the original TJ's receipt. i.e.: A $100.00 original purchase (not including taxes) will net you up to $40.00.
*Without an original TJ's receipt, TJ's will pay up to one half of the amount that TJ's feels that they can resell the item for, depending on the condition of the item at the time that it is bought. i.e.: Resale value = $60.00, Buy Back = $30.00.
TJ's is neither a pawnbroker nor does TJ's take any items on consignment. You will be paid or given credit for any items at the time the transaction is completed. At that time the right of ownership of any items passes to TJ's.
Yes, TJ's will buy items not originally purchased at a TJ's store.
Once a new item has been used in any way or you have owned it for longer than 10 days, the item is covered by the "Buy Back" policy, and is no longer subject to a full refund.

Gathering of Information

Credit card information provided to the TJsKids.com Online Shop is protected against unauthorized use by 128-bit encryption and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) security features, which scramble your personal information so that only your web browser and our Web site's server can decipher it.

Children
Under 13: You must be at least 13 years old in order to place an order on the TJsKids.com Online Shop. If you are under 13 years of age, please do not send any information about yourself, including your name, address or e-mail address. If we discover that we have collected any personally-identifying information from a child under the age of 13, we will remove that information from our database as soon as possible.

13 -18: Unless otherwise specified, visitors between the ages of 13 and 18 must obtain permission from their parents or guardians before placing an order on the TJsKids.com Online Shop, or otherwise sending any personally-identifying information.

Corrections to Personal Data; Opting Out
